Review:
"Beware of Dog" is quite simply a very fun episode to watch, much like such great Farscape eps as "Exodus From Genesis" and "Through the Looking Glass". The story is another great mixed story of action, drama, and comedy. The hunt for a creature on the loose on Moya is intense, and keeps one guessing as to what is going to happen next. Unexpected plot twists ensue and keeps the crew and the audience wondering just what the creature is, and what it can do. The episode has a very well written story, excellent action sequences, poignant drama, and lighthearted comedic scenes that makes the audience feel happy, sad, and intense from one moment to the next. The special effects were also first rate, from the animation of the cute little Vorck to the excellent monster form of the Vorck to the attack of thousands of little parasites that is stopped by Crichton and Aeryn. At the same time, we also have an interesting subplot as Crichton begins to show signs of deeper problems when he starts seeing images of Scorpius. This subplot is sure to have major consequences in future eps. Overall, a great episode that makes for a fun and entertaining hour of television.
