LAUREN MCLAUGHLIN
LAUREN MCLAUGHLIN is a freelance writer whose credits include the feature
film Prisoner of Love, starring Naomi Campbell and Eric Thal, and the SCI FI
Channel world-premiere film Specimen, starring Mark Paul Gosselaar. She
also collaborated on the upcoming SCIFI.COM series Maatkara, currently in
production, and is working on a science-fiction novel.
In addition to writing, McLaughlin has worked at Lions Gate Films, a leading
independent film company, as their Vice President of Production for the last
six years. She has produced and co-produced a number of films, including
Vig, starring Peter Falk and Tim Hutton, and Stag, starring Mario Van Peebles
and Ben Gazzara. She has also worked as a production executive on such
films as American Psycho, starring Christian Bale, and the Sundance hit Jerry
and Tom, starring Joe Mantegna and William H. Macy.
McLaughlin hails from Wenham, Massachusetts, but has lived in New York City
for the last ten years. She shares an East Village apartment with her
husband, photographer Andrew Woffinden, and enjoys Swing dancing and
