LAURISSA JAMES

LAURISSA JAMES is happy to be a part of Chi Chian. She, too, often wonders "Why can't people just be nice?" Her SCIFI.COM credits include Director and Lead Producer for the animated series Eclipse, Co-director and Lead Producer for the upcoming Maatkara, starring Amel Larrieux, and Associate Producer and Story Editor for Barbarian Moron and Mean Planet. In addition to producing animated series for SCIFI.COM, Laurissa is also a director and producer for Seeing Ear Theatre, SCIFI.COM's home for audio drama. She directed and produced Titanic Dreams, starring Gigi Edgley and Clancy Brown. She will also be directing an upcoming episode in Seeing Ear Theatre's Tales From the Crypt series.

Laurissa joined SCIFI.COM in early 2000. Prior to that, she developed on-air programming for the SCI FI Channel. Before entering the world of SCI FI, she bounced around producing TV movies and documentaries. When not creating online programming, Laurissa directs stage theatre in New York. Her recent directing credits include Courting Prometheus (Samuel Beckett Theatre) and No Confetti (New York Performance Works).
