JAN PISTEK Costume Designer Pistek has designed costumes for various film, theater and musical productions. He also has experience with fashion shows, and has designed numerous interiors. Among Pistek's projects are costume design for the musicals Dracula and Rusalka (he collaborated on both projects with his father, legendary costume designer Theodor Pistek). Pistek also served as designer for a theater project titled Nachoe plachty, for the Forman Brothers Theater (a.k.a. Divadla bratri Formanu), which is run by Matej and Petr Forman, the marionette masters from the SCI FI miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune. Pistek is an accomplished painter, and has taught painting at the Prague Academy of Applied Arts. He hails from a fine-arts background, and his work has been exhibited locally in Prague and abroad, including at the Czech National Gallery. Pistek, a Prague native, studied figurative painting and landscape at the Prague Academy of Applied Arts.
