Daniela Amavia brings to the screen a diverse international flavor: She was born in Greece, raised in Germany, and studied acting in London.
She starred in The Woman Every Man Wants, which debuted at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and garnered her the Best Actress Award at the New York International Independent Film Festival that year. She also has appeared on various TV programs, including Felicity and the HBO movie The Ice Princess.
Add writer-director-producer to her credits as well, with her short film Rockin! Good Times. She starred with Lynn Redgrave in the Buena Vista International film Venus & Mars, for which she also received an executive producer's credit.
Amavia's path to Hollywood began at the State Theater Corps de Ballet in Germany, and continued at Goethe University, where she studied Drama and American Literature. After starring in Amiri Baraka's The Dutchman, a feature-film director discovered her, thus launching her prolific European film career.
Amavia also has modeled, working runways in Paris for Chanel and Dior, and appearing on covers of Vogue, Elle and Femme. Karl Lagerfeld personally chose her to be the spokesperson for Chloe perfume.
Amavia is fluent in German, Greek, French and English.
