Alice Krige's credits include a wealth of film, television and theatrical roles. She hails from a strong theatrical background, having performed with the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company.
Krige is widely recognized for her portrayal of the Borg Queen in the feature Star Trek: First Contact, as well as on the TV series Star Trek: Voyager. She also has appeared on the hit HBO series Six Feet Under, and starred in Stephen King's Sleepwalkers. She gained international accolades for her performance as an opera singer in the Academy Award-winning Chariots of Fire.
Among her numerous credits are Reign of Fire for Disney; Institute Benjamenta, which netted the Locarno Festival's Award for Creativity and the Stockholm Festival's First Prize; The Calling for U.K. Independent, The Little Vampire for New Line; Twilight of the Ice Nymphs for Alliance, and Attila the Hun and Donor Unknown for USA Films.
For her part in Lifetime's The Hidden Room, she received a Cable ACE Award Nomination for Best Actress. For her role in Arms and the Man for the Lyric Theatre, she garnered the Olivier Award for Best Newcomer, and the Plays and Players Award for Best Newcomer.
Born and raised in South Africa, Krige studied psychology and drama at Rhodes University, as well as drama at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, where she earned honors in drama.
