Q: What overall role will the Guild play in the miniseries? In the novel
they
weren't a big component. Will we find out more about the guild in
the
miniseries?
A: The Guild will, of course, play a major role in the mini-series. Their
influence and power is a thread throughout the narrative. It is
personified
most particularly by a creepy Guild Agent (played by the outstanding
Philip
Lenkowski), who is present in many significant scenes. Also, the
Navigators
will be revealed in the first night as they fold space for the Atreides
trip
to Arrakis. Suffice to say, my interpretation of what a Navigator
looks
like is quite a bit different from the David Lynch movie.
