Q: I was wondering just how far are you going into the Dune series? Are you going to just be covering the original novel or are you going to go further into the other novels?
A: This miniseries covers only the original novel. However, I've been extremely careful to protect what I know to be the continuing story. Nothing will happen in this version that would violate anything to come in the other novels (and more miniseries, should we be so lucky). And for those who know the other books, there are seeds throughout these six hours (just as there are in Frank Herbert's novel) which presage the events to come...if you know where to look, or what lines to read between.
