Laura Burton (Alia)

Laura Burton, the youngest member of the Frank Herbert's Dune cast, makes her screen debut as Alia, The Accursed One, younger sister of Paul Atreides.

The English-born Burton resides in Prague with her family, because her father's work brought them to Central Europe. Laura works easily with the international cast and crew of Dune, due in part to the fact that she attends the English International School with schoolmates who hail from around the globe. She attended an English international pre-school in Tallinn, Estonia. "I've spent half of my life abroad," Laura says.

Laura said she very much enjoyed being on the Dune set. "But it's very dusty, and I get sand in my shoes," she says. She prepared for the part by reading through lines with her mother. And then? "I just act," she says simply.
