Matthew Keeslar (Feyd)
Matthew Keeslar stars as Feyd, nephew of the evil Baron Harkonnen.
Keeslar recently co-starred in Scream 3, the enormously successful
conclusion to the Scream film trilogy directed by Wes Craven. Keeslar
's other feature film credits include The Last Days of Disco,
Waiting for Guffman, Run of the Country, Safe Passage,
Renaissance Man and Quiz Show.
Keeslar's television work includes landing the lead role in The Dan
Jansen Story, appearing with Jessica Lange in CBS' A Streetcar Named
Desire, and playing opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh in the miniseries
Thanks of A Grateful Nation.
Keeslar, originally from Michigan, graduated from The Julliard School and
relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.
"Feyd," Keeslar said, "is the ultimate sociopath. I mean he doesnÕt have any
remorse about killing or even being killed. He lives for excitement, he
lives for
the moment that he's in."
The role of Feyd necessitated an actor with great physical form and stamina.
Keeslar described Feyd: "You almost think of him as a professional athlete
of
sorts--I mean a very spoiled professional athlete... someone whoÕs very well
respected, trains all the time. And part of his training is this killing
that he
does as a rite of passage for Harkonnen boys."
