KEVIN MURPHY ("Soapwort McFuggletoes," writer, co-creator) is a middle-aged white man with a long, grey beard and a weight problem, which makes him perfect for anything to do with the fantasy genre. For 10 years on Mystery Science Theater 3000, Kevin hefted a 12-pound plastic puppet over his head for an obscene amount of money. He developed a problematic rotator cuff. Currently, Kevin is writing the book A Year at the Movies for Harper Collins Publishers. To that end, he has promised to go to a theater and see a movie every single day for the entire year. So far, he has seen more than 400 films in 10 countries, started to wear glasses and increased one pant size. Kevin attempted to audition for the Lord of the Rings movie and was considered for the role of Michel Delving. Kevin was excited to accept the role until he discovered that Michel Delving is not a person, but a small town.
