UNEARTHED

What do all you Paranoids think about myths?

See, I don't have the answer you all might expect. In fact, I think myths are a bunch of bull pucky and the reason for that belief is real simple to explain. As long as there's been government there's been Paranoids. And Paranoids always question and always search for truth. But there are quite a few myths that have just never been proven -- not even in our circles and that's what makes me believe they're just not substantial. The Holy Grail is one such myth, the Hammer of Thor is another. How is it that none of us have ever found even the hair of proof, or truth to substantiate these myths?

Well maybe we haven't looked hard enough 'cause Team Foster found something this week that smashes my theory to smithereens.

The Hammer of Thor. The ultimate weapon against giants, monsters and all other enemies of the Gods and men. Myth? Right? Wrong. The Hammer exists.

And it ain't made by the Gods or man. It's alien.

The Hammer was created by the Gua!

A Quatrain led the team to Canada where we uncovered the "artifact" we've come to know as a Gua exploration device, the only one of its kind, built a millennia ago by Gua Empiricists and used to visit earth at the dawn of our civilization. Now that device would act as a weapon that the Gua assured us dooms our race to extinction.

In the past it allowed the Gua to bend the space-time continuum so that's how they first found our ball of gasses. But during "The Great Storm" that preceded earth's ice age the Hammer was lost to the aliens and so they had no way of coming back.

That was then the Vikings found in and used it to row around the world the first fabled appearance of the Hammer in earth writings, but then another storm broke the device into two pieces. The legends were true we just didn't have the whole story.

The Gua considered the Vikings to be nothing but scavengers who found something they'd left behind and was more powerful than the Vikings could ever understand. Further investigation revealed that the device moved corporeal beings great distances in an instant. Jordan knew exactly what it meant. The Gua were gonna use this "tool of exploration" as a weapon of mass warfare. They'd move their armies with it at a moments notice use it to send their final wave of troops here and wipe us out. They were perverting the reason it was intended for. Sounded pretty Gua to us.

And did I mention that Foster was trapped inside a vortex of the Hammer's creation?

When the two parts of the Hammer were joined it would create an energy field that could overcome time and space creating portals in the fabric of the universe. A disruption of the field would cause the portals to open one way only, and erratically. Which is why the Viking's reign ended after the hammer was split. They could no longer control its power.

And with Foster caught in between worlds we were obviously worried sick. The Gua told Jordan it would be possible for him to survive if he could stand the low temperature and erratic pressure indefinitely. Otherwise you slowly freeze to death. And if there's anything we know for sure about Foster it's that he's a survivor.

In the end the weapon was lost to both sides, which is fine with us. Just so the Gua don't have their grimy hands on it and we've got more time before the final fight.

The Gua have always evaluated humans and their individual capacity for resistance but Jordan had it right when she said recently that the team is stronger than its individual parts and that by working together we could rise up and stop this invasion.

The Second Wave grows closer everyday and if any one of us loses our life in the battle others will join the fight to defeat the Gua. It's why we have each and every one of you. And why, regardless of a weapons human or alien origin, we just have to keep fighting and know we can win.

It's the message of the week my Leaders of the Future. Know it well. And keep on fighting those notions that anything is myth 'cause one of those improbable truths from the past might hold the key to the future.

Excelsior!

Eddie
