TERMINAL CITY By Eddie Nambulous

SPECIAL ALERT! SPECIAL ALERT! SPECIAL ALERT! SPECIAL ALERT!
JORDAN RADCLIFFE IS BACK AND NOW WE'RE READY FOR THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES!

But it took killing JR in the future for Foster to figure out that eliminating her now was the wrong way to go. Cade, Joshua and I just got back from a vortex where we were looking for the famed, alien device we called the "Hammer of Thor." A device that an alien sensei told Cade could help him stop the Second Wave.

In the future, I was dead; Joshua got killed and Cade had become the leader of a resistance who knew him only as "the Commander." Let me tell ya something, too — the future Cade was more angry and soul-crushed than our fearless leader has ever been.

In this future timeframe, Cade had gotten the hammer from the vortex and killed Mabus in Jordan's body — but the Second Wave had happened anyway! Foster couldn't use the hammer; something inside him had died when he sacrificed Jordan for Mabus, and the Gua won the fight.

The major difference between the Commander and the Cade we all know and love was that our Cade still had his much-feared-by-Gua human will. He was the cream of the crop when it came to that kind of power, and nothing was gonna stop him from doing what was right. The Commander wanted to reverse history, wipe out any trace of himself in the timeline, and see to it that Jordan survived. But our Cade knew that it didn't have to be that way; he decided to learn from the Commander's mistakes and figure out how to use the weapon — and see to it that Jordan survived this time.

It all came down to a Mexican stand-off, of sorts. Cade and a future Raven Nation member named Taryn found Mabus just as he was about to get the hammer. That's when the Commander burst in; he wanted Mabus to take the weapon from him — begged the alien Anti-Christ to take it and go! But our Cade wasn't having that. He had his gun on Mabus and warned that if the Gua made a move, Foster would take Mabus down.

The Commander begged Cade not to kill Jordan in Mabus' body. The hammer activated. It was enough of a distraction. Cade shot Mabus.

But he didn't go for a mortal wound. The hammer seemed to excise Mabus from Jordan's body, and in one blinding flash the Guahead was sucked out of our girl and into the hammer.

It would be different this time. This time Jordan would live.

Then Foster was back in our time, back in the trailer even before Joshua and I followed him in. Mabus had been sucked into the hammer and Foster had, in effect, erased the future he'd just visited.

The final Omega Quatrain had said, "in the courage to end, find the beginning." When Foster didn't kill Mabus in Jordan's body, he'd given us that new beginning, a new hope for victory.

But where was Jordan? She should have returned to our time, too. We got our answer later that day when she walked right up to the Airstream and gave Cade a big old "I'm back!" hug.

Jordan was finally free!

But Mabus' spirit possesses the Hammer now, and the Second Wave is truly upon us. Foster's wondering if our future will be darkness and defeat, like it had been for the Commander. The prophecy says the outcome depends on Foster.

Nothin' new about that. We know one thing for sure: Mabus and Foster will meet again. Someone has to win this fight.

And it looks like to do that, one of them's gotta die.

Guess who my money's on?

We had a victory today, my Brethren. Let's hope we can say the same tomorrow.

Until we're finally free...the war goes on.
