Subject: The Next Target?
From: humorasio
To:crazyeddie@scifi.com

People, the world's going insane. They tell us that the crime level has been steadily dropping except for in a few major cities -- namely Los Angeles, Dallas, New York City,
etc. The crime level is dropping!? Well hip hop horray, hogwash. (h words are fun, I can't help it!) What about all these violent children? Were there gun-toting fifth graders a few years back? Well, maybe there were, but not as many as there are now.

Maybe the Gua's next target are children? Does it seem plausible?

~one of the most common names that I happen to have...
Jennifer.

Jennifer (one of the most fly names I happen to know … ),

Thanks for your letter. I’m so bummed every time I hear about the rising violence in our communities of children. It’s whacked – and tragic, and how I wish we could blame the Gua alone … but I doubt we can.

We gotta pay more attention to what the kids are seeing, hearing and thinking. We gotta get some gun control going in the cities, the country, everywhere. Even in a war you don’t want to arm people who shouldn’t be armed – guns are serious business and kids don’t need to be near or around ‘em under any circumstances.

And, in their defense, not all kids are goin’ bad. Foster and I have encountered some really great ones in places like Salem, Oregon, Fairvale, Ohio and Normal, Illinois – kids with good morals who’ve come through to help Foster and I out of some pretty tight spots.

Those guys were all targets of the Gua and they made good. I’m gonna hold onto my faith in our youth – I think it’s the people influencing them and putting guns in their hands that really need the watching.

And what’s a better job for a paranoid?

So thanks for your social concern, Jennifer. It’s good to know that people are sitting up and taking note of this serious junk. Sometimes we’re our own enemies I guess.

Subject: Witches!
From: javarivanhans

Witches are good people with ordinary lives who take great offense when they are portrayed as dark and violent. That’s just the kind of stuff that fuels the fire of discrimination with folks who interpret which craft as a bastardization of Earth-Based Religions.

I know you do your research when it comes to everything you talk about Eddie, but why do you think people still feel the need to discriminate against my people?

Javari Van Hans

Javari,

I don’t discriminate against any race, religion or creed. If anything I question ‘em all cause that’s just what I do – you know … question.

As to witches, they’ve definitely been given the bum wrap before and I guess that’s just cause people are naturally afraid of what they don’t know. Witches have had lots of bad portrayals in the media, of that I’m sure. But don’t ya think things are kinda turning around? I mean, these days, it’s almost in vogue to be down with "the craft." I count several positive portrayals on the major networks and in all the teen magazines.

Not that I read them.

And Foster and I have dealt with a bonafied witch in our battles with the Gua – Diana Black! Our friend and ally Diana totally helped us kick Gua tuckas in Salem, Oregon – she made believers out of us just as she became one of ours.

So don’t worry about your people J. Societies mind is broadening as a whole everyday and I’ll certainly do my part to raise awareness here.

Witches equal good.

How’s that for a PR machine?

Witch-lover,
E. Nambulous

Eddie-

i will keep this short because i am being watched. i will do everything in my power to assist you & cade and fight the first wave. i have to go they’re here...

Vamp,

Here’s hoping this was just a gag and you survived, man. And seriously folks, I get lots of gag-mail here at the site and I just want you to know that this fight is way too serious to be sending prank letters.

Now before you tell me to lighten up and take a chill I just want you to put yourself in my size twelve, bowling shoes. Here I sit, dodging aliens on line and in the non-cyber world all day – rallying together a group of believers who are gonna join Foster in the fight to save the planet and you know what – we care about those guys – you guys!

So faking us out and telling us the Gua are after you isn’t helping us out. Cade and I will do our best to make sure you’re okay there, Vamp. But remember if we’re chasing a boy-who-cries-wolf scenario here we’re not out dissolving a real threat out there and that is not cool.

So do me a favor and let us know you’re just out having a beer my vampy pal – it always pays to have another believer keeping us all alive.

Wishin’ you the best,
Serious Eddie

Eddie,

This is coincidence, but cool. Please check out our song "Paranoid." The theme is right, the genre might be a different story. If you have the time please give it a listen.

thx !

Roy,

Dude, good tune! Hey, there’s all kinds of paranoia so I don’t mind that your song ain’t about me and the P Times specifically.

It’s funny, logging on to hear you get crazy makes me pine for my days as a rocker on the rise. What? You didn’t know that Eddie was musically inclined? Well, I was. And had a deep and abiding love for computer science not stolen me away I might be the next Kenny G! Okay, just kidding, I wouldn’t wanna be Kenny G.

But I coulda been huge.

So good luck with your stuff, Mr. VDB. Everyone’s gotta chase a dream and it sounds like you are making yours happen.

I just dream about getting the Gua gone for good. Then maybe it’s back to music … and of course, cultivating my paranoia.

Great luck, dude!

Musically,
CEN
