When a car is stolen, the local police are called. If someone is kidnapped, the FBI is mobilized. When national security is breached, the CIA is put on alert.

All of those agencies, however, are ill-equipped to police a world that, until a few years ago, didn't even exist: a world that is a breeding ground for crimes that, until now, had never before been perpetrated. The scene of those crimes is the Internet.

It's a dark world of indistinguishable twists and turns, where people can be whoever they want to be. It's a world where information is everything, and where security makes the difference between life and death.

Unbeknownst to the general population, however, there is an elite task force of individuals that has been assembled to solve and in some cases prevent those crimes.

That organization is Level 9.
