Twenty years after a genetically engineered virus escaped from a lab and infected Earth with a disease that ages its victims a year in a day, the world has been divided into the ruling "Cleans" and the lower-caste "Infecteds." Dr. Ethan Grant (NIGEL BENNETT of Forever Knight and the SCI FI Original Series Lexx) has developed an injection called anZANOL that can slow the process — though carrying with it a blue stain, marking all Infecteds and relegating them to desperate, violent lives in the Bluelands.

Except for those killed in an orgiastic display for the amusement of the decadent rich.

Mother-to-be Ruth Hennessey (POLLY SHANNON of the MTV series Catwalk) is a Clean. Unbeknownst to her, her husband Jack (ANTHONY LEMKE, SCI FI's Robocop: Prime Directives) is a "Crossover" — an Infected passing for Clean. And when Jack is uncovered and killed, even Ruth's own parents turn their backs on a daughter who would have an Infected child.

With the government and the powerful Granttine corporation, maker of anZANOL, out to terminate her and her rapidly quickening fetus, Ruth desperately runs to the Bluelands. There, trailed by cop Alan Yann (SHAWN DOYLE, Frequency, Darkman III: Die Darkman Die), she encounters the Radpunk underground headed by Jack's hard-edged former lover, Iona (GUYLAINE ST. ONGE, Juda on Earth: Final Conflict). Called terrorists, they liberate precious supplies of anZANOL — which they suspect of being held back to create an artificial shortage and sky-high costs.

Any relation to real-life is purely coincidental.

Here, the outstanding and Edgar Award-winning writer-director DAVID S. JACKSON (Miami Vice, Alistair MacLean's Death Train, director of Atomic Train and episodes of The Pretender, Dark Skies, Dark Angel and Witchblade) creates a frighteningly convincing future world of corporate greed taken to its logical extreme: the ultimate two-tier medical system and all-too-literal class warfare.
