Harold Finley, college professor, has developed an electronic link-gate complex enough to regulate the forces of all the energy fields surrounding us ... fields like radio waves, television, X-rays the entire electromagnetic flux.
Through delicate surgery Finley has had the link-gate inserted into his brain and, by deep concentration, is able to focus an electromagnetic field energy into a sharp beam of unbelievable power. It seems as though Finley has discovered the ultimate power for the good of mankind until he inadvertently focuses his anger on a superior who has been frustrating his work and thereby unleashes shattering power that destroys all in its path.
NOTES: Renowned theater performer and prolific film actor Donald Pleasence would gain his greatest fame years later as Michael Myers' nemesis in Halloween. Edward Platt, who also appeared in The Outer Limits episode "The Special One," would become Maxwell Smart's Chief in the classic Mel Brooks-Buck Henry sitcom Get Smart. John Marley would wake up with a horse's head in his bed in The Godfather.
