IT CRAWLED OUT OF THE WOODWORK Directed by Gerd Oswald Written by Joseph Stefano At the Norco Energy Research Commission, a cleaning lady is finishing her midnight chores. As she vacuums, her machine picks up a small inanimate black mass. It is sucked into the chamber of the cleaner and there it feeds on the energy motor. Suddenly it grows to giant proportions and begins to destroy everything it sees. This force of raw energy comes under the control of NORCO head Dr. Block, who uses it to kill and reanimate the staff in order to control them and research more ways of feeding the energy cloud. NOTE: Edward Asner would go to win Emmy Awards and a place in TV history as gruff Lou Grant on the classic sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off drama Lou Grant.
