Throughout history, society has been faced with the problem of what to do with its malcontents and misfits whose behavior undermines and destroys the foundations of civilizations.
The perfectionist rulers of the Planet Zanti have coerced us to let them land their unwanted here on Earth. The Zantis look like giant ants but with human heads, and their demeanor is as much a problem here as it is on their planet.
NOTE: The Zanti Misfits are still so popular that in 2003, exacting models of the creatures were made for collectors. Future Oscar-nominee (Coming Home) Bruce Dern here plays one of his first weasely bad guys. His films include The Trip, Bloody Mama, The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant, The King of Marvin Gardens, Silent Running and They Shoot Horses, Don't They? And among the many credits of actor and vocal talent Vic Perrin is that of the "Control Voice" in The Outer Limits' weekly title sequence!
