A fairly routine drug bust turns into something much bigger for DEA agent Jane Vasco. She has her first encounter with an armed Neuro, who temporarily causes her to hallucinate while holding a loaded gun. Even so, he's no match for Jane. During this tussle, she meets another man of mystery: Andre McBride.
Jane knows McBride works for the government, but doing what, exactly? She thinks his group tracks individuals called Neuros, whatever that means. So when Andre invites her to join his group, she chooses to stick with the devil she knows.
