Author Biography and Bibliography
Kris Ottman Neville was born in St. Louis in l925 and died on December 23, 1980. He moved to California in his early twenties. His first story, "Cold War," was published in the October 1949 issue of Astounding Stories, and his most famous story is "Bettyann," published in New Tales of Space & Time in l95l.
Neville was an industrial engineer and journalist; also, he is the author of what was at the time (mid-sixties) a landmark collaborative work on epoxy resins. Some of his novels were published in Japan but never in his own language.
He was, according to Barry Malzberg, "a liberal, a Nixon-hater, brilliant correspondent (we wrote one another volumes in the period l969-l975), occasional collaborator, kind and true gentleman."
