Author Biography and Bibliography

Kage Baker was born in Hollywood in 1952 and has worked at intervals as an actor, director, mural painter, funerary insurance clerk, and teacher of Elizabethan English for the stage, in addition to being a writer. Her mother was the painter K.C. Baker, who studied under Maxfield Parrish.

Author of the Company series of novels, Baker has also written the Hugo-nominated novella "Son Observe the Time," included in the 17th Annual Year's Best Science Fiction anthology, and has had numerous stories published in Asimov's, Realms of Fantasy, Amazing Stories, and Fictionwise.com. She is presently working on the next book in the Company series, The Children of the Company.
