Author Biography and Bibliography

Deborah Coates is interested in dogs, knowledge, intelligence, the social aspects of computing, group-forming networks, communication, trust, culture, agriculture, Western science, Native science, writing, teaching, and aliens. Some days some of these things are peripherally related to information technology, the field in which she currently works. Deborah has been writing for a number of years and has been published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, the SFFnet anthologies Between the Darkness and the Fire and The Age of Reason, and the young-adult anthology A Starfarer's Dozen. Deb currently lives in Iowa with her two dogs, John Henry and Charming Billie. Billie is her current tracking dog; John Henry is, shall we say, Retired.
