Author Biography and Bibliography

Alex Irvine's first novel, A Scattering of Jades, won the Locus, Crawford, and International Horror Guild first-novel awards. His second, One King, One Soldier, appeared in July 2004 from Del Rey. His short fiction, collected in Unintended Consequences, has appeared in Salon.com, Sci Fiction, F&SF, Asimov's, and a number of other magazines and anthologies. He lives in Portland, Maine, where he writes for the Portland Phoenix and is at work on another novel, tentatively titled The Narrows.
