Author Biography and Bibliography

Claude Lalumière grew up in the francophone east end of Montreal within a unilingual francophone family, who were shocked to discover that he was bilingual by the age of three. He'd learned to speak English by watching television. By the age of six, thanks to US comic books, he'd taught himself to read and write in English.

In 1989 he founded Nebula, a Montreal bookshop devoted to "the fantastic, the imaginative, and the weird." In 1993 he added danger! to his business, a bookshop specializing in alternative literature and culture. He sold the shops in 1998, partially to devote more time to writing and other publishing ventures.

Claude's fiction has been appearing since 2002. He's edited several anthologies. He's published hundreds of reviews and articles. His website is lostpages.net, and he blogs at lostpagesfoundpages.

His current book project is Lust for Life: Tales of Sex & Love, coedited with Elise Moser, due to be released in early 2006 by Véhicule Press.

Claude currently lives in Montreal with an assortment of mammals.
