The Hugos, voted on annually by members of the World Science Fiction Society, are science fiction's most prestigious awards. They are widely considered to be the "people's choice" awards of the SF genre and are most commonly compared to the Oscars of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Although the Hugos are officially known as the Science Fiction Achievement Awards, they are invariably referred to by their nickname, which is used in honor of the late Hugo Gernsback.

Below are the results to date of our 2003 poll, which ran until noon on Monday, August 25, 2003.
Disclaimer: The following votes reflect the views and opinions of Science Fiction Weekly readers only and are in no way connected to the actual Hugo Awards®. The Hugo Awards and the World Science Fiction Society® are registered service marks of the World Science Fiction Society, an unincorporated literary body.

Note: A vote for "No Award" literally means you think no award should be given in a particular category. If you do not want to vote in a category, simply check the box labeled "I do not wish to vote in this category."
