The Hugos, voted on annually by members of the World Science Fiction Society, are science
fiction's most prestigious awards. They are widely considered to be the
"people's choice" awards of the SF genre and are most commonly compared to
the Oscars of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Although
the Hugos are officially known as the Science Fiction Achievement Awards,
they are invariably referred to by their nickname, which is used in honor
of the late Hugo Gernsback.
Below are the results to date of our 2003 poll,
which ran until noon on Monday, August 25, 2003.
