Calling all hackers?
ince Webrunner involves pretend hacking, and since there is a valuable prize at stake, are the contest's managers worried that the site will become the target of real hackers? Keeping in mind that other Web sites offering a challenge to would-be hackers have indeed been hacked, Science Fiction Weekly posed the question to Wizards of the Coast's Jean Flynn:
"Webrunner is kind of in honor of hackers. We hope they will respect that and have some fun [with the contest]," Flynn said. "We definitely have our security systems in place," she added, but admitted that "anything could happen."
