The Seafort Saga


The Seafort Saga -- also known as the "Hope Nation" series -- has turned into quite a success for David Feintuch. According to Warner Aspect, the Seafort novels have reached the bestsellers list at B.Dalton, Wordstock and USA Today. In addition, Prisoner's Hope debuted at #1 in Locus magazine. Below is a short synopsis of the first three volumes in the saga:

Midshipman's Hope
Unexpected disasters and the line of naval command thrust an inexperienced midshipman into leadership. Nicholas Seafort's force of will must be strong enough to bring his ship through humanity's first encounters with fish-like aliens.

Challenger's Hope
Assigned to the captaincy of the Challenger, Seafort continues to face his personal demons while rescuing as many people as he can from the depredations of the incomprehensible fish.

Prisoner's Hope
Seafort wrestles the fish again, this time from the colony planet of Hope Nation, where the path of righteousness leads him to the doorstep of treason.
