Where have you been, Aboriginal, Aboriginal?

Editor Charles Ryan started Aboriginal Science Fiction in 1987. Its popularity grew steadily until 1991, when it reached a peak circulation of 23,000. According to Ryan, though, Abo had by then been "strapped for cash for the past four to five years" due to an ill-timed attempt at newsstand distribution. When Ryan's mother suffered a major heart attack, he was forced to put the magazine on a temporary hiatus.

The current circulation of Abo is about 7,000 subscribers, and Ryan says that all previous subscriptions will be honored. Subscriptions are $21.50 for four issues, $39 for eight and $55 for 12. (Canadian and foreign subscriptions are $26 for four, $48 for eight, and $68 for 12.) To subscribe, contact:
