The Muge Empire begins its takeover of Earth, and students from the Australian Space Academy are sent to back up regular army forces. Academy student Shinobu Fujiwara is recruited as the first pilot of a new fighting force, as his wing leader Shapiro Keats defects to the enemy.

I Am Beast Mecha! Hear Me Roar!
Shinobu test-flies the first experimental Cyber-Beast in a reckless solo attack on the North American alien headquarters.

Shapiro Reborn!
Shapiro Keats joins the Muge Empire while his girlfriend Sara joins the Cyber-Beast Force as its second pilot.

Target: Jamming System
The CBF gains its third pilot, an undisciplined kid named Masato, as it attempts to protect its fuel lines and the radar jamming system that hides its base from the enemy.

The Man Who Came Last
The CBF meets its fourth and final member, an arrogant martial artist named Ryo. The group begins to learn teamwork as it defends the resistance headquarters in Los Angeles.

Dancougar #2: "The Battle Escalates"

Maiden in the Battlefield
The Empire razes Sacramento. When the CBF moves in for the attack, they meet Laura Sullivan, a child orphaned in the alien strike. One of Emperor Muge's generals personally heads into battle to take the CBF down.

A Kind of Hero
The CBF heads off on a mission to support resistance troops and finds the fortress they're protecting is being manned by children who were ordered to defend it with their lives.

Trapped Memories
Shapiro sends the Empire to attack the abandoned Space Academy, drawing its protective ex-students into a trap.

Hell Beast in Amazon
Sara meets Laura Sullivan and brings her back to CBF Headquarters. Meanwhile, the aliens begin burning the Amazon, apparently in superstitious fear of the panthers that formed the basis for one of the CBF machines.

Legend of the Knight
The aliens take the ongoing battle to Peru, where a mysterious energy force is protecting the local mountain guerrillas.
