The people of L.A.

The following contains some spoilers!

No John Carpenter Escape movie would be complete without some colorful characters to cross Snake Plissken's path. Here are a few of the most colorful:

Map to the Stars Eddie (Steve Buscemi)
He must have been a sleazy agent before the quake reduced L.A. to an island. Now he's just looking for some good talent to represent.

Pipeline (Peter Fonda)
He's the ultimate surf bum just waiting for that perfect wave.

Cuervo Jones (George Corraface)
The ultimate stereotypical Latin lover/revolutionary leader/terrorist.

Surgeon General of Beverly Hills (Bruce Campbell)
The Surgeon and his followers are victims of one too many facelifts and other surgical disasters. The unrecognizable Campbell is a stitch.

Hershe (Pam Grier)
Leave it for the best woman's role (and that's not saying much) to be that of a transsexual. Grier's voice is unusually deep. Get it? Her she.

Utopia (A.J. Langer)
Lucky Langer gets to be yanked from one place to another and cry a lot.

The President (Cliff Robertson)
The ultimate right-wing stereotype.

Taslima (Valeria Golino)
A pretty diversion along Snake's path that he just doesn't have time for.

Malloy (Stacy Keach)
Humanizes the ultimate good-soldier-following-a-crazed-leader stereotype.

Brazen (Michelle Forbes)
Malloy's right-hand man, er, woman.
