Introducing the new characters

Flash Gordon
The Yale graduate and world-class athelete is now a street-smart teenage skate punk.
Dale Arden
Flash's faithful love interest is now a combative equal--a Eurasian teen gymnast more reasoning than her hothead partner, Flash.
Dr. Zarkov
In the comics he was a brilliant scientist trying to save Earth with his rocket when Ming attacks--on TV he's a coward fleeing Earth. Basically, he's an all-around self-centered drag for the teen heroes.
Princess Thundar
Flash's first Mongonian friend gets a sex change in the 90's--Prince Thun is now the rebellious lionid Princess Thundar.
Prince Talon
In this version Flash's Hawk Man buddy is the son of King Vultan, instead of the King himself.
Ming the Merciless
The most famous face in villainy has been thrown out and replaced with a generic reptilian visage.
Princess Aura
Her classic conflict--torn between a love of father Ming and a lust for Flash--is intact. But now it is mirrored in her biology--she's half-lizard and half-human.
