Tenchi Masaki

An average, ordinary teenaged boy who one day finds out he's actually a prince of a hugely powerful royal bloodline of a distant planet, and a lot of beautiful female aliens are deeply interested in his future.

Ryoko

A "ruthless space pirate" who spent 700 years trapped in a cave by Tenchi's forebears. Freed by Tenchi, she attempted to kill him, failed, decided that seducing him might work better, failed, and apparently fell in love with him somewhere along the line.

Ayeka

A princess of the planet Jurai who came to Earth looking for her lost brother/fiance, only to find out he'd grown old and become Tenchi's grandfather. Stranded on Earth by Ryoko, she too has developed a romantic interest in Tenchi.

Sasami

Ayeka's capable, practical, and far-too-cute little sister.

Washu

Ryoko's capable, practical, and far-too-cute 20,000-year-old mother.

Mihoshi

Possibly the dumbest blonde in the galaxy, but a Galaxy Police detective nonetheless.

Ryo-Ohki

A baby organic spaceship that spends most of its time in a nauseatingly adorable cat-bunny form. Unfortunately does not die graphically during this film.
