Beyond the Sea

This episodes opens with the death of Scully's father, and she becomes the believer to Mulder's skeptic when she suspects a condemned murder (Brad Dourif) may be channeling her father. Wrapped up with a mystery of missing sweethearts, Scully and Mulder must deal with the murderer who may be psychic or may be leading them on. However, the clock is ticking both on the man's execution and the time limit Scully and Mulder have to find the victims.

E.B.E.

Mulder and Scully set out to investigate a UFO sighting by a truck driver and soon realize they may be on the trail of an E.B.E. or "extraterrestrial biological entity". They also realize they're being watched and bugged. With help of his informant, Deep Throat, Mulder believes he's close to discovering the truth. But while soon discovers that while the truth may be out there, "so are lies."
