The Alien Experience site is jammed with intriguing content: a gallery containing movie stills and AvP fan films; a Scripts section that contains, among other things, a draft of an Aliens 3 screenplay penned by SF author William Gibson; and a discussion forum whose thousands of posts examine the technology, writing and biology of both alien species, as well as more general topics—literature, filmmaking and gaming, to name three.

This fusion of two originally separate film series is a unique cinematic marriage. It began in 1989, with the release by Dark Horse Comics of the first Alien vs. Predator title. A year later, sharp-eyed filmgoers spotted a xenomorph skull in a Predator's trophy collection in Predator 2. Now, almost 20 years later, there have been action figures, video games, crossover novels and, of course, the two AvP films. Despite the lackluster reviews garnered by both of these recent pictures, a third is rumored to be in the works.
