Synopsis: While following the trail of the long-lost U.S.S. Archon on Beta III in system C-111, Kirk and crew discover a culture strangely static and reserved except for its "red hour" of released frenzy and destruction. Aided by a still-timid underground, the survivors of the Archon, Kirk's landing party finds itself among "the Body," the worshipful collective of all-seeing leader Landru who has targeted them and their ship for destruction.
