Production: 28
Original Airdate: April 6, 1967
Stardate: 3134.0
Synopsis: Ripples in time surround a temporal doorway to other times and worlds -- it's an incredible discovery on the homeworld of a long-dead civilization. But the moment is marred by a sudden change in the known timeline, somehow altered by McCoy after an accidental cordrazine overdose drives him into a frenzy and he leaps through the portal. Guessing when and where he went, Kirk and Spock follow him back to 1930s New York City to try to repair the damage and restore the universe. But the last thing Kirk counts on finding in the past is the woman of his dreams -- and discovering her fate is key to saving history.

Joan Collins as Edith Keeler

Most Trekkies know that this episode was written by noted author Harlan Ellison. But who was the director?

Kirk: Captain's Log: "No stardate. For us, time does not exist..."
