Synopsis:
Never has there been a case for the Prime Directive like Sigma Iotia
II, where the humanoid natives have such a drive for mimicry that a history of
gangland Chicago left behind by the USS Horizona century earlier is now revered as the cornerstone of society. After being caught up in mob warfare, the good captain realizes that the local way is the best way -- and uses radio, machine guns and his own wits to restore the natives to a more enlightened path...for the most part.
