Synopsis:
Captain Ron Tracey is a man possessed after he survives a killer virus
carried back to his ship, the U.S.S. Exeter, from the
surface of Omega IV. Figuring the secret to his survival was akin to
the long lifespans of the planet's urban Kohms, Tracey began mowing
down the aboriginal and more populous Yangs attacking them in order to
protect the "fountain of youth" for others. When the
Enterprise crew, sent to find the missing Exeter, realizes it
too is trapped on the surface, Spock and McCoy join the hunt for a cure
while Kirk bucks Tracey's demand for more troops and arms, vowing to
bring him to justice for his acts. But even Kirk is not prepared for
what unfolds after the Yangs finally overrun the village and take them
all prisoner.
