Title: That Which Survives
Production: 69
Original Airdate: January 24, 1968
Stardate: Unknown
Synopsis:
In the midst of a planetary beam-down, Kirk and his survey team are
left with the image of an alien woman appearing on the transporter
platform and killing the operator with simply her touch. She reappears
later and kills a team member in the same way, but there's no escape
for the party: the Enterprisehas been thrown far from
the planet, thanks to warp drive sabotage that nearly wrecked it, and
Scotty and Spock must find the way back for the survivors. The planet's
manufactured nature only adds to the mystery of the woman, whom the
stranded Kirk, McCoy and Sulu are relieved to find can only harm one of
them at a time.
Guest Cast:
Lee Meriwether as Losira
Naomi Pollack as Lt. Rahda

|

The character of Losira played by Lee Meriwether is referred to as being extremely beautiful.
Why was this an apt compliment for Ms. Meriwether?
|
|

Spock: Can you give me warp 8.
Scotty: Aye, sir - and maybe a wee bit more. I'll sit on the warp engines myself an' nurse 'em.
Spock: That would not only be unavailing, but also undignified.
