Overview

The immensely popular and enduring Highlander franchise continues as Duncan MacLeod passes the sword to a beautiful Immortal, Amanda, and her mortal partner, Nick Wolfe. She's a 1,200-year-old thief who is reluctantly developing a sense of responsibility. He's an ex-cop who has found the legal system to be positively criminal. Together, Nick and Amanda form an unlikely team in the war against evil and injustice.

With a long history as a thief and con artist, Amanda has lived for centuries as a roguish femme fatale drawn to the good things in life, whether they be stolen works of art, priceless jewels or fine cigars. Never really malicious, Amanda is not without scruples — she just knows how to look after herself, and she does so very well.

Nick is a skilled investigator and used to be a dedicated cop. When he was betrayed by his mentor, he began to question the police department's definition of "right." Disillusioned, he left the force but cannot abandon his pledge to "protect and serve." Working outside of the law to solve crimes and defend victims, Nick continues to cross paths with Amanda. He'd be crazy to join forces with such a notorious criminal, but he can't ignore the fact that she's helped him out of a few tight spots already. And it doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes.

Based on the highly successful Highlander franchise, which includes six seasons of Highlander: The Series and four feature films, Highlander: The Raven continues the saga of the Immortals. Locked in an eternal struggle to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Immortals never grow old and can be killed only by decapitation. When one Immortal kills another, all of the loser's life-force and knowledge is transferred to the victor by The Quickening, so that the last of their kind will gain the power and knowledge of the universe. If a virtuous Immortal delivers the final blow, goodness triumphs. If the last surviving Immortal is evil, darkness will reign forever. ... In the end, there can be only one.
