STEVE BACIC
Ever since Steve Bacic, with no formal training, landed a guest spot in 1990 on 21 Jump Street, roles have kept coming his way. He currently plays the recurring role of Gaheris Rhade on the Gene Roddenberry series Andromeda, and recently starred in the Roger Corman movie Firefight. He also appears in SCI FI Pictures' upcoming Encrypt. Among Bacic's other feature credits are The 6th Day with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever with Antonio Banderas and the telefilm The Shipment with Matthew Modine and Elizabeth Berkley. He also provides the voice of original X-Man Hank McCoy, a.k.a. The Beast, in the new videogame X2: Wolverine's Revenge.
Born in Croatia on March 13, 1965, Bacic immigrated to Canada with his parents when he was two-and-a-half years old. Raised in Windsor, Ontario, he relocated to Vancouver to pursue an acting career. After making his TV debut, he went on to guest on such SF series as the SCI FI Original First Wave (the episode "The Undesirables"), The X-Files, M.A.N.T.I.S., Viper, Millennium, The Sentinel, Highlander, Earth: Final Conflict, The Outer Limits, Beastmaster, Dark Angel, Jeremiah, Smallville, Mutant X and the new The Twilight Zone, as well as on such dramas as The Commish, Just Cause and Profit. He's played Major (later Colonel) Coburn on episodes of Stargate SG-1.
