I have an interesting story about an alien abduction last year, from a psychologist friend of mine. It involves a young man from the New York City area whose name was not disclosed to me. For this story's sake, we will call him "Jake."

Jake came home from work on a hot summer day and decided to take a shower. As he finished his shower, his doorbell rang. Clad in a towel, he went to the door and saw through the peephole a few of his friends. He opened the door; his friends told him they were going out on the town and invited him to come along. Jake said he would catch up with them later, and they left without him.

A few minutes later, as Jake was drying his hair, his dog started barking, whining and acting agitated. Then Jake's lights dimmed. The next thing he remembered was waking up in the rafters (attic) of a house, wearing clothes that were all but shredded. These were not his clothes. Jake had no idea where he was. He found a trap door that led out of the attic, and he peered out. He saw no one and began to wander, confused, through the strange house. He stumbled into the bedroom, where a young couple was fast asleep. In his confusion, he woke the couple.

The young man awoke and, seeing a stranger in his home, immediately attacked Jake. Another couple, in the next bedroom, heard the commotion and ran in to see Jake being beaten. Jake, as he was being pummeled, was asked repeatedly why he was there. He replied that he didn't know. The second man stopped the first from beating Jake, who was not resisting. The two couples called the police.

The police arrived to find Jake sitting on the couch, holding his head. The couples who lived in the house could see Jake's confusion and fear. They felt compassion for him and handed him a blanket. The police checked the house for signs of forced entry. They were puzzled, because there was no evidence to explain how Jake had gained access to the attic.

Jake asked where he was. They replied that he was in upstate New York. He asked how he had gotten there. The police replied, "We were going to ask you the same thing." They took him into custody and arranged for him to be evaluated by a local psychologist. The doctor gave Jake a clean bill of health, both mentally and physically. However, Jake had still been translocated a few hundred miles in less than two hours, based on the time when his friends remember last seeing him at his home in New York City.

The police checked the airports, all flights and charters. No one could identify Jake as a passenger.

I surmise that our little visitors simply made a mistake. I base this on the fact that the clothes Jake had on were not his size. They screwed up — they "tagged" Jake wrong! This is a weird story. I will try to pry for Jake's identity and where he ended up.
