About 9:00 PM [CDT] I walked out of my house and saw a UFO flying over my house. At that time I lived roughly at the center of Las Vegas, [near the intersection of] Norman Ave. and Maryland Parkway, to be exact. The object ... didn't have any lights (it was lit [by] our bright city lights) and made no noise. It was a cloudless night, so it was hard to figure out how big it was or how high it was flying. The UFO was round and had four dark circles (black) beneath it. It traveled slowly and deliberately north.
Personally, I believe it was a "spook" military surveillance craft. Not extra-terrestrial. The dark circles below the craft (I could only see it from below) could be taken for some sort of radar array. Keep in mind that Las Vegas is only 90 miles south of the Nevada Test Site, and a few more miles from "Area 51" in Rachel, Nev.
I remember [that] a couple of weeks to a month later ... there was a UFO report on [the TV series] Sightings. Some of the lookout guys who monitor the flight area (test site) reported a UFO. There was some funky video they showed, but it didn't look anything like what I saw.
