Lesson 1 — Journeys to Self-Discovery
After exploring journeys (both physical and mental) that result in a change or self-discovery, students will write poems that symbolize a personal journey that forever changed them.

After reviewing the elements of science fiction, students will use newspaper stories as a basis for creating short scenes that use elements of science fiction to enhance the actual news story.

Lesson 4 — Energy Counts
Are you using energy efficiently? The Energy Counts exercise will help you determine how much energy you use, and what it's being used for. Once completed, you will not only have a better understanding of yourself as a consumer, but will recognize ways in which you could reduce your average energy usage every day.
