FBI AGENT JOHN DOGGETT Born: Atlanta Family: Divorced; son Luke kidnapped and killed at age 8, New York City Education: Masters and Doctoral degrees in Public Administration, Syracuse University Military Experience: Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps Amphibious Unit; served in multinational peacekeeping force, Lebanon; honorably discharged after six years with numerous commendations, including the Purple Heart. Law-Enforcement Experience: 1988-1993 — New York City Police Department, Detective, Fugitive Division - Warrant Section. 1995 — Began active duty in FBI. 2000 — Headed task force searching for missing Special Agent Fox Mulder; subsequently assigned to X-Files Division. BACKGROUND: Ironically as dogged as his name suggests, Special Agent John Doggett began his X-Files work as a skeptical hard-liner who nonetheless maintained an open mind regarding the unusual cases. He later became head of the X-Files Division, partnered with Special Agent Monica Reyes, following the departure of Special Agent Fox Mulder and the maternity leave of Special Agent Dana Scully.
