HERRENVOLK (Entry two of two) Pursued by The Bounty Hunter, Mulder attempts to bring the mysterious healer, Jeremiah Smith, to the dying Teena Mulder. But Jeremiah first shows the agent our classified farm worked by identical-twin sets of cloned children. UNRUHE A killer leaves behind a clue in the form of thoughts left on undeveloped film as pictures. When the killer targets Scully, Mulder must interpret the "thoughtographs" in order to save her. HOME After the body of a horribly deformed newborn is discovered in a shallow grave, evidence points to an isolated family that appears to have "devolved" due to more than a century of inbreeding. TELIKO Mulder and Scully hunt down a bizarre killer from African mythology when several African-American men turn up dead and devoid of skin pigmentation. THE FIELD WHERE I DIED When the FBI investigates an apocalyptic religious cult living on an old Civil War estate, Mulder feels he has been there before, and meets a woman who insists she knows him from a previous life. SANGUINARIUM Plastic surgeons in a prestigious hospital are inexplicably mutilating and killing their patients. Mulder and Scully track a suspect who appears to be extending life using an experimental scientific method disguised as "black magic." MUSINGS OF A CIGARETTE-SMOKING MAN Melvin Frohike, one of the "conspiracy buff" trio calling themselves The Lone Gunmen, represents to Mulder he has uncovered the truth behind C.G.B. Spender a.k.a. Cigarette-Smoking Man. Spender takes up a sniper position and targets Frohike while listening-in using electronic surveillance. He declines to terminate the subject when it becomes clear Frohike is repeating a cover story that attributes to Spender not only the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., but also the "fixing" of Super Bowls, the Academy Awards, the Olympics and the Rodney King trial. Because Spender is a master of disinformation, it is unclear to our analysts which, if any, portions of Frohike's report have a factual basis. PAPER HEARTS Seemingly prophetic dreams lead Mulder to discover a young girl's skeleton. The discovery makes Mulder fear that a killer he imprisoned years ago is responsible — and may have killed Mulder's sister Samantha. TUNGUSKA (Entry one of two) When the oil-based extraterrestrial code-named The Oilean is inadvertently released from an evidently off-world rock during testing at Goddard Space Center, Mulder reencounters the rogue former Syndicate operative Alex Krycek. The two follow the rock's trail to the Siberian Tunguska wilderness, where Mulder is held captive at a gulag facility of the Russian version of The Project. TERMA (Entry two of two) As Scully fights for her job and to protect her missing partner, Mulder escapes the Russian gulag and races to salvage proof of the existence of extraterrestrials before we can classify said evidence. EL MUNDO GIRA When a weather anomaly over a migrant-worker camp evidently leads to bizarre deaths, Mulder and Scully investigate what the migrants believe is the work of El Chupacabra, the mythical Latin-American "goat sucker." KADDISH What appears to be a hate crime inside a Hassidic Jewish community turns into an X-File when Mulder and Scully probe a murder that appears to have been committed by a dead man. NEVER AGAIN Scully, beginning to feel trapped and frustrated with her life since joining the X-Files, has a one-night encounter in Philadelphia with a man whose tattoo seemingly persuades him to kill women. LEONARD BETTS An emergency medical technician is decapitated in an ambulance accident, then inexplicably reappears alive. Mulder believes the EMT might be an evolutionary step forward — a man capable of regeneration, and willing to kill to keep his secret. MEMENTO MORI Scully discovers that our abduction of her and subsequent experimentation on her has unfortunately led to what is diagnosed as inoperable brain cancer. As she and Mulder attempt to find information that could save her life, Scully must come to terms with her prognosis. UNREQUITED Mulder and Scully investigate an alleged invisible assassin targeting military officials. The agents come to suspect we are knowingly using this stealth resource to conceal a policy of denial about American POWs in Vietnam. TEMPUS FUGIT (Entry one of two) A commercial airliner crashes, apparently killing all aboard, including alien abductee Max Fenig. (See "Fallen Angel" file.) Believing that the government is attempting to conceal something that intercepted the plane in-flight, the agents discover another crash site — one appearing to have involved an alien craft. MAX (Entry two of two) The military admits fault in the airliner crash, but Mulder and Scully believe the passengers were deliberately sacrificed in the pursuit of technology that might have been taken from an alien craft. SYNCHRONY When several young cryogenics scientists are found frozen to death, Mulder and Scully determine that the method of murder is a sophisticated cryogenics process that should not be able to exist for at least another estimated 10 years. SMALL POTATOES After several children in a small town are born with tails, Scully determines that each child has the same birth father — a human shapeshifter who eventually impersonates Mulder. ZERO SUM Skinner, trapped in a deal to save Scully's life, helps the Cigarette-Smoking Man destroy evidence from a fatal bee attack — and is, regrettably yet for reasons of security, framed for murder. ELEGY The homicides of several women intrigue the agents when witnesses claim to have seen apparitions of the victims. A mentally ill man close to the murders becomes a suspect. DEMONS Mulder awakens in a motel room, not remembering how he got there and covered in someone else's blood. Scully must help her partner piece together the events of the last few days before Mulder is charged with murder. GETHSEMANE (Entry one of three) Mulder fights to prove that a discovery frozen in the mountains of Canada is irrefutable evidence of alien life, but in the process he might destroy his relationship with Scully. back to top
